Yesterday my eldest son graduated with a First Class Honours degree in History. He’s worked so hard for this and I am so proud of him. I must admit to shedding a tear!
Harry the lad – what a legend…..and no pressure on his younger brother now!! Haha
After trying out our star photography we moved on to painting with light using long exposure times and the torch on a mobile phone.
A shout out to MUM
Who am I?
Obviously boys being boys there were some childish images drawn which raised a lot of laughs but aren’t for a family friendly blog!!!!
We recently had a special family holiday in Barbados to celebrate a 50th birthday and our 25th wedding anniversary. I did manage to get out and about to spot some local wildlife.

Christmas morning and you rush down stairs to see if Santa’s been. Grab a present and tear off the wrapping. A selection box of favourite chocolate treats.
First the excitement!
Then the question “Can I have one now?”
Then the decision as to which one first?
Well what a miserable grey, dank dreary day it is in Yorkshire today. Yuck.
Wifey’s under the weather so I took the dogs for a stroll in the local park and took a couple of snaps of them for a change.
Last summer we visited the poppy memorial at the Tower of London having previously bought one of the poppies. You can read my original blog here https://spugwash.wordpress.com/2014/11/09/we-will-remember/
Well today our poppy arrived and its beautiful.
The wife has decided that the final touch to the kitchen would be a couple of nice pictures of the dogs for the walls. No matter how much I pleaded the case for Scooby Doo, Grommit or Muttley she wasn’t having it.
So off to the local park we went and had a little doggy photo shoot.
Not decided on the final ones yet but these are the front runners.
What do you think?
Well it was all done apart from the decorating and moving some furniture around in time for Christmas dinner.
